The Last Tip (5 mins) – Narrative Dir. Patrick Chen During the course of his meal, a loyal patron reminisces about his past at his favorite restaurant one last time at 69 Bayard Street. Not on the Menu: Corky Lee’s Life and Work (15 mins) – Documentary Dir. Wendy Junru Huang One man's 40-year dedication to documenting the everyday life of Asian Americans and their fight for civil rights in New York City Tender Ears (23 mins) – Narrative Dir. Jasmine Wang During a brief trip home, a second-generation Chinese American woman and her first-gen mother find their differing cultural ideals clashing. Dear Corky (17 mins) – Documentary Dir. Curtis Chin For over fifty years, Corky Lee photographed New York’s Chinatown and Asian American communities around the country. With a strong sense of social justice, he captured activists, celebrities, and everyday heroes. Sadly, Corky fell to COVID. Through his own words and pictures, Dear Corky reveals the man behind the camera. A Father’s Son (29 mins) – Narrative Dir. Patrick Chen A story-spinoff based on author Henry Chang's crime novel series of NYPD Detective Jack Yu. Set in the early '90s when local street gangs terrorized Manhattan's Chinatown, our story centers on Jack Yu investigating the murder of a teenage boy involved in a turf war. Amidst the broad distrust and racial divide between the Chinatown community and NYPD, our lone lawman searches for a nondescript immigrant family to deliver a shattering message that forces Jack to revisit the conflicted relationship with his own father. ________________________________________ This event would not be possible without the support of our sponsors: Asian Americans for Equality Chinatown Manpower Project, Inc.
