Description

Branchwater in Historic Canton, Georgia welcomes you to join us for a night of music! We are hosting four extremely talented musicians to play in our intimate upstairs lounge. "CECE is an 18 year old artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Her original music effortlessly blends singer-songwriter acoustic with pop and a hint of soul. She is a confessional lyricist with a natural ability to speak for a new generation while delivering a timeless message, connecting with fans of all ages. She has performed all over metro Atlanta and Nashville, headlining shows at venues such as Eddie's Attic and Smith's Olde Bar. She is currently studying songwriting at Belmont University and is in the studio working on new music." "Sydney Rose is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Canton, Georgia. She enjoys indie, folk, and writing music within her own bedroom. Inspired by many sad musicians, Sydney hopes to make you feel something with her music." "Amanda Belair of Woodstock, Ga started both singing and playing guitar at the tender age of 9. Belair’s household was full of music with a pianist as her mother and drummer as her father causing her love for the art to blossom very early on. In her youth, Belair took every opportunity to showcase her talent performing in church choirs and soon singing in her school choirs, as well. She was heavily influenced by jazz, blues, pop, and R&B after being influenced by trips to music festivals with her family. Belair recognized in high school that she wanted to pursue music and after graduating Sequoyah High School in 2015, she received a music scholarship to Reinhardt University. While pursuing her vocal performance degree, Belair decided to cultivate a path for herself in contemporary music. Belair began to seek live performance opportunities and soon landed her debut as a full-time artist in 2019 on her local news station’s segment, “11 Alive’s Moment to Shine''. After several years of performing at popular local venues such as Eddie’s Attic and Smith’s Olde Bar, Belair gained notoriety around the area and peaked the interest of local producers. Belair’s growing popularity landed her a spot on Andre “Modre” Brown’s Classic Collective Album with her song “Freedom”, which she helped to co-write. Since the release of the album, Belair has been able to work with other artists providing both backing vocals and instrumentation. Belair has worked with artists such as The Heavy, Modre, Bri Feel, and Lloyd Buchanan. In 2022, Belair released her first EP titled, “My Show”. The project was co-written by Belair and her production partner, MoDre and truly highlights Belair’s R&B and pop influences. Belair has since been working as a backing vocalist for some popular Atlanta-based artists and still continues to perform locally." "Kurt Lee Wheeler is a Cherokee county, Georgia-based singer/songwriter that crafts raw, vulnerable portrayals of life in the American Southeast. His musical expressions range from country, to bluegrass, to rock. You can catch Kurt playing solo and with his band The Lathemtown Poet’s Society. Born and raised in Lathemtown, Georgia the son of a cattleman and homemaker, Wheeler taught himself to play guitar and soon began recording his own songs reel to reel, then to cassettes, then to four track-tape whenever he could catch a break from helping with the cattle and playing sports. In the mid 80s, he enlisted in the Air Force and along with his fellow airmen formed Hint of Insurgence, a band influenced by the burgeoning sounds of college radio and the classic rock he cut his teeth on growing up. In 1992, he released his first album Bama Motel, which included new, folk-tinged originals and rock-oriented songs. Shortly after its release, Kurt began teaching school and took an indefinite hiatus from music to focus on raising a family. However in the mid 2010s, Kurt began playing the North Georgia singer/songwriter scene and writing music again, taking on a more stripped down acoustic sound and approaching it with the same ethos as teaching: to help create positive change in others’ lives."
