Viva Palestina! Celebrate Palestine with WVMA on Friday December 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Los Gatos Islamic Center. There will be lots happening! - A film screening of the newly released Farha, a historical drama film about a Palestinian girl's coming-of-age experience during the Nakba, the 1948 displacement of Palestinians from their homeland. This is film is not suitable for kids under 14 as content may be too heavy and emotional for viewers. - An fun and interactive book reading of "Mima and Zain Stand for Palestine" by a local Bay Area Author Eman Kourtam. This wonderful book will help answer very important question about Palestine, in a kid-freindly way. There will also be book signing by the Author. - A hands-on Kunafah making class by Kunafahplus! There will be a $10 fee for this class. Kids get to take there Kunafah home to enjoy! - Nothing is complete without food!! There will be a potluck of Palestinian finger foods and desserts! So let's share all our wonderful food delicacies with each other!
