Come ring in the New Year with the inaugural Pinecone Dash in Downtown Flagstaff! The race will require teams of 2-4 to run to each checkpoint, gather the marker, and return to the start line once all markers have been collected. Teams are allowed to follow whichever order and route to reach each checkpoint, as long as the team stays together, bring back all the markers and does so on foot (no other form of transportation is allowed). To prove the team stays together, each team will take a selfie together at each checkpoint. The checkpoint locations will be sent out to all participants the night before the race to study and make a plan before the race start. The route will be all on road and the full distance should be around 6-7 miles depending on how you choose to get to each checkpoint. Please take caution when crossing streets, we want this to be a race, but we want everybody to be safe! We'll be offering prizes for the top 3 teams to finish! Join us for an afterparty to start the New Years celebrations early and congratulate all the teams that participated. Location of after party TBD!
