Throughout our Florida winter, there are many migratory birds and butterflies that come here to nest and enjoy our warm weather. Join ERM Biologists, along with Environmental Steward, CJ McCartney, to discover our migratory birds and butterflies while learning about the wildflowers that support them in Winding Waters Natural Area.
We will explore two areas-one is a grassy tract of wildflowers and butterflies along a canal and the other is a trail that circles around an area that is often burned, which produces interesting wildflowers.
Get ready for the adventure and expect the unexpected.
Please bring your water, appropriate clothing (hat, hiking shoes/boots, long-sleeved shirts and pants for bugs) and bug spray. Restroom facilities are located nearby in Dyer Park.
