Description
I have a simple job I'd like to hire a qualified electrician for.
Our house has one sub-panel and, connected to that, a sub-sub-panel which is located in a backyard shed. In 2018 we had our the shed converted into a home office. A well known Fairhaven electrician wired it up; it's a 4-wire connection. Everything works fine, and it passed inspection.
However, I was reading about the need to _not_ bond neutral/ground in sub-panels. So I checked. Our first subpanel, located in the basement, doesn't look to be bonded; I don't see a strap or bonding screw in there. However, the shed sub-subpanel (photo attached) does look to have a prominent bonding strap connecting the ground and neutral bars. My understanding is that it should not be there; the inspector must have missed it.
For peace of mind, I would like to hire someone to come over and take a look, and make sure that we've got everything set up correctly. My understanding is that very bad things can happen if sub-panels are bonded.
I know this is the smallest of all possible jobs so I assume it will only make sense for someone who's very local.
Thank you for looking.
