Hi, my name is Chris Robbins and thanks for your interest to work with me. My business name is West Arbor Painting and you can learn more about me and my business at www.westarborpainting.com. I want to train up my own subcontractors. This is a very unusual model. Usually, companies either want full-time employees or existing professionals to subcontract work out to (sometimes businesses do both). I want people to be able to say “yes” or “no” to jobs. I want people to create their own schedule. I want people to be paid well. I want people to be happy with their work. I want to make peoples’ lives easy. This is my goal for people who work with me. That being said, it is a lot of work to train somebody to create a professional-quality finish, let alone to get them to complete jobs in a timely manner. My goal is to get people to do so within 3 months. Meanwhile, I will commit to creating a low-stress environment for you, while using clear, documented, and communicated training protocols. I don’t want people with experience. They (almost always) cause me stress and frustration. They think they have things but figured out, but I have not yet been contacted by someone with experience (even a fully-insured LLC) who has not made even the most basic mistakes on the job. So I take “professionals” with a grain of salt. I want to hire decent human beings who are passionate about making sacrifices to make people (i.e. clients) happy. I am offering paid training. You will be given opportunities to start and finish a single room, but you need to follow every step I lay out, in their proper order. I have documented SOPs (standard operating procedures) which shows you every single step of the process in detail. There are explanations, as well as images and video content that I’ve shot myself. You also will need to fill out a checklist as you complete each step. The goal is to memorize the SOP and do everything without any reference guides. If you are interested, respond via email. I want 3 things to be outlined in your email: 1. List the specific days over the next 2 weeks in which you will have a full, uninterrupted 8 hours to devote to a day of training. I’m willing to accommodate for people who can start training between 8am-12pm, and finish between 4pm-8pm. 2. Give me 1-3 sentences explaining ways you’ve gone the extra mile for customers/clients in any job you’ve had. 3. Give me 2-4 sentences outlining what would be an ideal leader. Take care, Chris
