Reminder: puppies that are 8 weeks old are not being rehomed; they’re being sold by a “breeder.” Please do yourself a favor and don’t buy a puppy from a CL backyard breeder. Reputable breeders do not sell on Craigslist. Good breeders produce few dogs and usually have a wait list, so they sell all puppies before they’re 8 weeks old. They don’t need to sell them on CL. Puppies have already gone through several critical developmental stages by 8 weeks - a bad breeder can negatively affect the puppy’s behavior and health for their entire life. Buying puppies from random people on CL increases the odds that your puppy will have serious fear-related behavior problems later on. Not written by a breeder - just by a neighbor who is concerned with the number of backyard “breeders” who are misleading people by selling puppies on CL. If you see it, you can flag it. It violates CL’s guidelines.
