Opal Ingram Is an Author/Poet & Lyrical Writer with over 10 published books. Originally from New York City, she grew up on the Lower East Side. She currently resides in upstate NY. Her passion for writing began in high school. She is also a member of several literary groups and more than 100 poetry groups and goes under the pen name. "Melanin Opal." Her work has been published in International Poetry Journal- Atunis Galaxy poetry com In Europe. She hopes that her monthly poetry gatherings at Eden Cafe will encourage other women to learn and make friendships with others of like mind. What to Expect: Although Men are encouraged to attend these monthly events, poetry will be presented by women only by invitation.
