Set during WWII, A Christmas homecoming is the story of a small Texas town buzzing with excitement as it prepares for its annual Christmas tree lighting. A newlywed wife struggles to engage in the festivities, because she is missing her husband who is stationed overseas. Through songs and the reading of letters to each other, the husband and wife express their desire to be together over the holidays. The story culminates in the town square on Christmas morning with a Christmas surprise.
