The Asian festival is celebrated with the first new moon of the lunar calendar; this coming year on Sunday, January 22nd. The year 2023 is slated to be the Year of the Rabbit.
Celebrated with dance, music, food, martial arts, and other Asian traditions, the festival welcomes Asian cultures from mainland China, the Indian Subcontinent, the Southeast Asian nations and the island nations of the Pacific. Each culture celebrates the Lunar New Year differently with various foods and traditions that symbolize prosperity, abundance and togetherness.
Rolling Oaks Mall hosts the 2-day event Saturday and Sunday, January 21 & 22, 2023, presented by the Asian Community of San Antonio. Plenty of free parking and free admission to a family friendly event filled with something for everyone.
