Looking to HIRE 2 Full-Time Trailer Mechanic’s/Technicians to perform a variety of preventative maintenance and other tasks on our Trailer Fleet. While we prefer someone who has a certificate or technical training in mechanics and truck/trailer repair, we are willing to work with any mechanically inclined professional that has knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, ABS brake systems, DOT regulations/guidelines and etc. Welding or fabrication experience is also a plus, as these techniques often come in handy when making repairs on trailers. Requirements - Including but not limited to: * Must be Mechanically and Electrically Inclined. * Knowledge of truck parts, equipment and truck repairs. * Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations is an asset. * Effective problem solver with the ability to understand issues and find solutions in a timely manner, as a team or handling individually. * High attention to detail. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. * Able to multi-task as well as work alone/with a team. * Replace or repair specific engine or trailer components. * Perform repairs and inspections on trailers, cabs, heavy equipment and more. * Ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times. * Analyze, troubleshoot, maintain, and fix our equipment by inspecting and testing; completing preventive maintenance and servicing of other major components with our trailers. * Maintain equipment appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. * Maintain equipment records by recording service and repairs. * Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. * Complete minor repairs as directed with little or no assistance. * Adhere to quality and safety standards. * Demonstrate competency in operating all equipment and tools needed to perform daily tasks. * Complete or assist with other duties as assigned.
