Description

Chloe is a 4 year old female that came from a small farm down by Northfield. She is the stereotypical cat, aloof and standoffish on your terms, but VERY sweet and affectionate on her terms. She is spayed, has all of her shots up to date and is very healthy. She is not dainty in any way, more so thick and stocky, like a linebacker. lol She is very vocal and definitely has a favorite human in the house. When she is in the mood, she will sit with and be pet purring very loudly until she decides it’s over and suddenly darts off. She loves having the base of her tail scratched and to receive very firm pats on the back and sides. She loves to spend time outside when the weather is nice, so we put an 8 month tick collar on her when the snow melts and let her come and go as she pleases. 9 times out of 10 she’ll be waiting at the backdoor when it gets dark, but occasionally she’ll spend the night outside. We have decided that it is time to take a break from pets in our house. We adopted another rescue cat when COVID started… He came from a difficult situation and did not fare well in our ecosystem. He took to peeing on a small stretch of carpet in our lower level. We decided to rehome him due to the issue. Even though he is gone now, his scent is in the carpet in that area, so Chloe and our other cat mark over these spots. We have tried everything to prevent it, including replacing carpet pad underneath the cleaned carpet with no success. We think that they associate this area in our house as a bathroom now and will continue to use it regardless of if we can eliminate the smell. We do not take this decision lightly as we are all very fond of our pets, but we think that a good reset for them and us will cure the issue, as before the rescue came around we never had issues with them going outside of the litter box. We have our other cat on another posting here. They get along great and would happily be rehomed as a pair if you are interested in both: https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/pet/d/saint-paul-year-old-female-cat-to-be/ .html We are charging a small Rehome fee of $40 to make sure that the new owners will take owning them seriously, but we will turn around and donate that Rehome fee to a local shelter to help other kitties out.
