Anyone used fake paystubs for an apartment?

I need a place to stay or else i'll be homeless, I don't make 3x the apartment rent but I make enough to pay my rent on time. I've heard of people using fake pay stubs to get into apartments... has anyone done that for ones in the area? please let me know if you have and what the name of the apartment is so i can aply too... thanks! you're really helping
