Summary/Objective ******************** Warehouse associates are also responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling merchandise, unloading or loading trucks, and waiting on customers. Other duties as assigned. This job will entail helping customers get their orders together and assisting when customers need help. Must maintain a safe, clean and well-organized warehouse. Essential Functions ******************** Assist with customers needs Builds loads for deliveries Load and unload building materials Forklift Operation Keeps management aware of any delays or discrepancies Additional Tasks ******************** Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, effectively present information to others one-on-one Maintains clean warehouse including keeping material well organized and safe Respond to inquiries from other associates Must be able to periodically lift up to 80 pounds Work Environment ******************** This position requires working in a busy lumberyard/warehouse and near moving mechanical parts. This position requires working indoors and periodically outdoors and being exposed to wet, humid, extremely hot or extremely cold conditions. Physical Demands ******************** Requires frequent standing, walking, hearing, use of hands and arms, grasping, handling, feeling, climbing, balancing, crawling, stooping kneeling, crouching, and lifts up to 80 pounds. Rarely this position will be sitting. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work ******************** This is a full-time position. Hours of work depends on hours of operations, willing to work 40+ hours per week. May require working irregular and/or extended hours. Forklift experience a must. Reading a tape measure a must. Math skills important Forklift: 1 year (Preferred) building materials: 1 year (Preferred)
