I'm Courtney, and I run an animal sanctuary for special needs, senior, unwanted, and otherwise "hard to adopt" animals. For the last year, I've been searching for a special needs friend for my 13 pound chiweenie with cerebellar hypoplasia. This essentially means he has issues with coordination and balance, so he runs in circles and is likely to stumble or fall. Most normally abled dogs bully him as soon as they figure out they can knock him over.
