Job Title: Warehouse Assistant and Driver Reports to: Warehouse Manager Job Responsibilities: Knowledge of business operational software Access operational software to track new and upcoming orders Review delivery calendar to be prepared for upcoming deliveries from vendors Prepare warehouse to receive new orders in advance of order arrival Maintain inventory organizational system so item locations are easily identified by all Forbes team members Inspect deliveries for completeness and to ensure items arrive undamaged Keep warehouse clean and organized at all times Organize and stage items and materials in advance of scheduled deliveries at the direction of the Warehouse Manager Complete all necessary paperwork and data entry for delivered items Communicate with Warehouse Manager and/or Project Managers to prepare upcoming deliveries Drive delivery vehicle to customer sites and assist with unloading products and materials Keep and maintain all required paperwork and authorizations for deliveries and submit to Warehouse Manager and Finance team as required Communicate with Sales Team and provide updates on product arrivals as required Review delivery calendar to prepare routes and times for upcoming deliveries to clients Organize all pertinent job documents for warehouse, sales, production, and finance teams as required Participate in project management meetings as required. Assist with unloading delivery trucks from vendors Assist with loading delivery trucks for customers and production teams Additional Responsibilities: Assist both warehouse and project management teams Clean driving record and experience driving trucks up to 26’ in length required Recruit assistance from other team members in advance of warehouse understaffing events Continue to learn and improve use of company operational software Periodically perform the duties of a service technician as required Provide customer service/telephone support as required Attend educational and networking events provided by the company Act as a resource for our employees and industry partners by providing information and attending events Attend manufacturer training sessions as required Attend industry trainings and events as required Compensation: Hourly wage: Up to $25.00/hour. ($52,000.00 annually based on a 40 hr. week) depending on qualifications & experience Company provided vehicle: A vehicle will be provided for business use, deliveries, etc. You will be required to use your personal vehicle to get to and from work. Probationary employment review after 3 months. Company provided Computer: A desktop or laptop computer will be provided for business use. These devices remain the property of Forbes Design Center and need to be returned to the company immediately upon termination of employment. Eligible Benefits After Probationary Period of Employment: Personal Vehicle Reimbursement: Should the company provided vehicle be unavailable for any reason, Forbes Design Center will provide reimbursement for miles driven in your personal vehicle for business use. You will be required to submit mileage logs to the office manager for monthly reimbursement. You will be reimbursed at the current Forbes Design Center’s mileage reimbursement rate – please contact Forbes Design Center for current rates. Cellular Phone Reimbursement: A payment of $25/month will be provided to compensate for business use of your personal cell phone. Forbes Design Center requires that you provide a smart phone on either the Apple iOS or Android platform. Should business use cause you to incur expenses beyond the allotted amount, please submit documentation to the office manager for review. Vacation: 2 weeks paid time off per year after 6 months of employment – no more than one week will be concurrent. Vacation time (PTO) does not accrue if unused. Personal days: 5 personal/sick days per year after 6 months of employment. Health Insurance: 50% of individual coverage paid by Forbes Design Center after 6 months of employment. First employment review at 6 months. Second employment review at one year, subsequent reviews on employment date anniversary.
