Hand Trembler is a psychedelic progressive rock band from Boise, Idaho. With members Reese Hancock, Kreed Kleinkopf, JP Chastain & Cadom Skow they deliver powerful, danceable tunes that cover the broad spectrum of the human experience. All of this is delivered with a great amount of energy, thought and emotion.
Hand Trembler’s influences are broad, ranging from modern indie-rock staples like Radiohead, Modest Mouse, Built To Spill, Tame Impala and MGMT. But their sonic vibe also travels heavily through the ethereal presence of the rock gods of the 70's like Frank Zappa, King Crimson and Pink Floyd. Hand Trembler’s psychedelic tunes come with unique, profound lyrics that were somehow gifted to them from the 5th dimension.
Hand Trembler never gets stuck in the traditional 4/4 time signature. To accomplish this, they incorporate elements of virtually every style of music, progressing through melodic dance rock to bluegrass, to Transylvanian rap, to Latin soul grooves, funk and even disco.
All of this is accomplished with a true Pacific Northwest vibe. You can feel the pine trees rustling in the wind, the rain falling down the streets of the city, through the rivers in the mountains to the wet, overcast coastal shores.
Hand Trembler's released their debut album entitled, "Circadian" in 2018.
Their latest effort, “Get Well Soon” was released in 2021 - a result of coming out of the pandemic, being at home with nothing to do but write and record songs. Much of the material covers mental health, love and loss through a lens of psychedelic exploration within the mind and outwards towards the stars.
