Kauai's most famous scenery is the Napali Coast, where a steep ridge of red soil rises steeply against a turquoise sea covered with dense green rainforest. The only way to reach the Napali coast overland is by hiking the Karalao Trail, one of the most famous hiking trails in the world. Along the way, you can pick fruit, fish shrimp and abalone in the stream, and fish in the sea. Through rain forest waterfalls, sheer cliffs on one side, vast ocean on the other, all the way to the last secret beach Xanadu, you just don't want to leave.
