Description

The Detroit Police Department is seeking your opinion regarding its new S.W.O.R.N. Initiative (Skills and Wellness Opportunities to reduce Risks and meet Needs) The Detroit Police Department (DPD) continues its efforts to improve police / community relations! Training officers well, making early assessments of risks, and providing effective support(s) as needed, is essential to maintain high standards among officers and improve trust between Detroit citizens and the DPD personnel who take an oath to protect and serve them. Chief White, Assistant Chiefs Eric Ewing and LeValley believe the S.W.O.R.N. Initiative is another effective management tool to (1) Help officers and their units do their jobs well and (2) Identify risks factors that can be reduced through training, workload balance and policy improvements. We are inviting you to join a few of your fellow citizens to learn about S.W.O.R.N. and to share your opinion of what it would mean for you and your community if S.W.O.R.N. is implemented well in the Detroit Police Department. Please register to participate in one of the two : Detroit Citizens’ Review of DPD’s S.W.O.R.N.
