Join us as we get those creative juices flowing with loving community with incredible local business owner, surfer, artist extraordaire Mary Glazier of Gurfer Lady! We are so excited to partner with Gurfer Lady for this event! They'll be hosting a clothing pop up, where a portion of sales will go toward the purchase of books for children at Gove Elementary. Create your own custom collage while fundraising 1,000 inclusive books to go to a local elementary school! Gain tips and tricks from a Gurferlady for yourself or a holiday gift for others! We will have options for you to create on a canvas or a framed piece! All materials are provided and Bring Your Own Beverage to enjoy! Alchemy will also be providing a free delicious beverage for your sipping likes!! DJ Lovelee will be spinnin' tunes as we sing our hearts OUT. Did we mention we LOVE small businesses?? About the incredible human hosting, Mary Glazier: Mary Glazier founded Gurferlady LLC to offer surf instruction as a mental health hobby, lifestyle and creative outlet. Gurferlady is a female-led surf school and creative community maker. Her passion comes from being a self-taught “Gurfer (girl surfer)” after her surf-loving brother passed away 14 years ago. We now have a variety of Gurf instructors to help guide you to your own surf style. When we’re not in the water, we’re breathing new life into Up-cycled resources through creative projects, workshops & markets. About the incredible community where the books will be going to- Gove Elementary in Belle Glade: Gove Elementary is a beautiful dual language school in the Belle Glade community. Belle Glade is the largest city within the 2,862,00-acre subtropical Everglades in the heartland of Florida. Originally known as Hillsboro, Belle Glade was incorporated in 1928 with a population of less than 500. The earliest known people of the Belle Glade area were the Calusa Indians. It is a community has a strong ties in culture, community, agriculture. Today Belle Glade is home to 20,000 people, about 60 percent Black and 32 percent Latine.
