Flexible, part-time hours and short shifts, with daytime, evening, and weekend shifts often available. No experience required! $15-17/hr. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Growing leather studio with manufacturing location in West Bend, WI looking for multiple positive, energetic, part-time leather artisans to join our team of great people! Don’t worry – no experience working with leather required! Looking for teammates that are detail-oriented, take pride in working hard and getting things done, and can keep production on track. Sugarhouse specializes in making sweet leather goods! At our core, we cut and stamp leather coasters, keychains, and more, and ensure that all team members become proficient in all roles in our manufacturing process. You will physically work hard here! A fair amount of muscle strength and manual dexterity is required to operate our hand presses. Don’t let that scare you, though; we don’t need you to be a college linebacker! Smaller, thinner guys and girls who are generally healthy and fit have been fully able to meet the challenge. Duties include but are not limited to: -Primary duty is stamping coasters with our expanding variety of sweet designs! -Cutting down leather hides -Cutting coasters and keychains -Assemble small products like keychains, holiday ornaments, and greeting cards -Label coasters and other products accurately -Stage orders and help check and verify quality and quantities -Help pack orders and get ready for shipment -Assist in a variety of other small duties within the shop -Help out where needed - manufacturing is a team sport! Requirements: -16 years or older -Manual dexterity: Able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. independently; bend, kneel, reach and stand for most of your shift -Willing and able to work hard, efficiently, and accurately without getting distracted to meet production goals -Excellent attention to detail in ensuring product quality -Ability to verify quantities by invoice and neatly package products for shipment -Excellent attendance: No-call no-shows will never be tolerated -Basic math and communication skills, oral and written -Ability to follow directions, take notes and not be afraid to ask questions -Be a team player and bring a positive attitude! If others tend to describe you as lazy, sloppy, or inattentive, this is probably not the job for you.
