Lamar Johnson has spent decades in prison for a murder he did not commit. The witness against him has recanted. The witness was paid thousands of dollars for his testimony and threatened by the prosecutor to be charged with the crime if he did not identify Johnson. The actual perpetrator of the crime, in prison for another murder, has admitted to the crime in open court. Eric Schmitt, whom the dunderhead voters of Missouri have put in the U.S. Senate, opposes Johnson's release regardless of the mountain of evidence for his release and ignores the actual killer's confession. Thanks, Missouri, for putting yet another soulless dirtbag in the Senate.
