Rotator cuff surgery

Wondering about other recovery times from others that had this same surgery. I had a large tear and the tendon had to be reattached to the bone. It's been 2 weeks and my Doctor said no use for 6 weeks then physical therapy. I only used ibuprofen as the pills they give you are habit forming. How long was your recovery.
