Cleaning product supplier and full-service repairs company located in Clearwater is seeking a multifaced Shop Helper to join our team! This position requires someone with a strong work ethic and who is eager to learn and grow. Position will consist of organizing the back stockroom how you see fit, and completing entry level repairs and maintenance such as changing out old wheels, squeegees and brushes on equipment such as carpet cleaners, floor scrubbers, and buffers/polishers etc. Great opportunity for someone looking to begin a career path and is willing to learn! You will have your own work office. Our ideal candidate is open minded and has the ability to work without constant supervision. This role is entry level, you will receive 40 hours of virtual and hands-on training and will become Certified to work on specific equipment. This position will also include driving a company vehicle to client facilities at times including Pinellas County Schools, and will be customer facing. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass a pre employment Drug and Background screening. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm - weekly pay! Responsibilities: -Assist in the completion of various work orders or repairs in the shop -Perform equipment testing and preventative maintenance checks -Routine repairs and keeping equipment in good working order -Organize back stockroom as needed -Effectively communicate with clients and staff -Respond to calls from clients with equipment failures -Performs additional duties requested by the Supervisor to ensure effective and efficient operation Requirements: -Must have valid driver’s license (Required) to drive company vehicle -Comfortable working hands on with tools -Strong troubleshooting skills -Must be mechanically inclined -Must have the eagerness to learn -Strong organizational skills -Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings Compensation starts at $17.00 - 18.00 per hour BOE, and full benefits offered after the initial probationary period including PTO, Paid Holidays, 401k, and medical benefits offered.
