Description: Where to come to take the Placement test: Jefferson Carrollton Campus, Room A134, 1607 Hwy 227, Carrollton, KY 41008 Exit 44 off I-71 This campus location is 50 MILES northeast of Louisville. We do not do ESL/Immigrant testing. What to bring the day of testing: A photo ID is required to take the test (government-issued ID, school ID or work ID).We STRONGLY encourage you to prepare ahead of time to take your placement testYou may bring a calculator for the math portion of testing.A student should plan on being on campus for at least two hours. All tests are untimed. The Reading assessments has 20 questions, the English assessment is open response essay (must be typed), the math assessment is 31 questions (mix of pre-algebra and algebra). Please allow enough time that you do not feel rushed to finish. Testing can be broken in two with Reading and English first and math on a later date. Students may use any four-function, scientific, or graphing calculator except for: calculators with built-in or downloaded computer algebra system functionality such as TI-89 or TI-92 and the TI-Nspire CAS.
