Dear community, you are invited to a very special evening of performance, ritual, intention, and Ecstatic Dance. On Wednesday, December 21st, Ecstatic Dance NYC and TheMagicc team up again to co-create a beautiful experience celebrating The Winter Solstice & The Return of the Sun. We will gather as a community at the beautifully vast St. Paul and St. Andrew church to dance with the dark, to honor the light, and to set intentions for the new season. This will be an ecstatic dance plus an immersive community experience to ground and connect. Performers & Collaborators will be unveiled soon... We encourage arrival between 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM for the full experience but feel free to drop in whenever you feel. 6:30 PM: Opening Sound Meditation 7:00 PM: Blue Lotus Ritual Journey 7:30 PM: Dynamic Movement 8:30 PM: Ecstatic Dance DJ Set 1 9:45 PM: Ecstatic Dance DJ Set 2 11:00 PM: Closing Sound Meditation We're in for a real treat & look forward to seeing you all! Here's a little bit about what it is: ❃ Ecstatic Dance is a community gathering for people who want to express themselves freely, to connect, and to expand together through the inspiration of music & dance. ❃ Live DJs | Live Drumming | Free-Form Movement | Workshops | Sound Meditation | Massage | High Vibe Food & Elixirs | Community ❃ ❃ Join us and enjoy a safe and inspiring space to dance without talking, drinking, and the nightclub vibe. This is about self-expression, freeing your mind and body, and connecting with yourself and those around you. No booze, no shoes and no chit-chat on the dance floor helps us keep it intentional. Amazing music helps us keep it all about dance. ❃ There will also be a beautiful lounge space to relax, decorated as well as refreshing, alcohol-free beverages and food. ➤ Guidelines: 1. No talking on the dance floor (plenty of room to talk in the lounge space up on the balcony) 2. Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment 3. No photos or videos, cellphones muted and out of sight 4. Respect for the space and one another 5. Move your body however you wish! ➤ What to Bring: 1. Loose-fitting clothes that let you move your body and free yourself 2. Water and a water bottle. You can refill it at the venue. We do not provide plastic cups as we strive to be a zero-waste event. 3. Coat check will be available to allow dancers to store their coats, bags and other valuables. You can also leave your belongings in the back of the dance floor, but please note that Ecstatic Dance NYC is not responsible for any lost/stolen items. ➤ Where: Saint Paul and Saint Andrew Church 263 West 86th Street,New York,10024,US ➤ Tickets: $40 Tickets are non-transferable between events and non-refundable.
