The New Hampshire Police Association Pipes & Drums was formed following the tragic death of a New Hampshire Law Enforcement Officer. This officer was shot and killed in October of 1994, during a standoff with an armed barricaded subject. After the Boston Police Gaelic Column played at the funeral, a search was initiated for potential players to start a New Hampshire Police Pipe Band. In December 1994, several dedicated individuals from various police departments from across the State of New Hampshire came together for their first practice at Memorial High School in Manchester. After 2 years of dedicated practice, the band made its official debut in 1996, playing at the New Hampshire Police Memorial in Concord. Since 1996, the band has continued to grow and now has over 30 playing members from over a dozen law enforcement agencies within the State of New Hampshire. The band performs at over a hundred events annually throughout New Hampshire and across New England. The NHPA Pipes & Drums is proud to be a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization. This year's music will be provided by local artist, David Rousseau. David has been playing locally and regionally for many years. His acoustic style and music selection is known by many both young and old. So we look forward to hearing you all sing a song or two with David.
