The Friends of Tamarac invite members and the public to this annual event that showcases the successes and events of the past year as well as an introduction to the projects of the upcoming year. Meet up with friends who enjoy supporting and spending time at the refuge. A highlight will be the screening of the new film, Rhythms of Refuge: A seasonal journey through Tamara Refuge. Please register - there is a $25 fee, this will cover your meal. A cash bar will be available.
In this film, photographer Chris Walker takes you into the most intimate spaces of the refuge one season at a time. Photographer Jared Eischen gives you looks at the habitat from a new perspective. Find your bliss in this cinematic experience into the wilds of one of most diverse ecosystems of northern Minnesota. From the awe-inspiring colors of fall to the crisp cold lakes and the symphony of spring, you’ll be surprised by the seasonal rhythm that nature provides for wildlife and people.
The mission of the Friends of Tamarac is to support Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge through education, conservation and advocacy to provide the foundation for a community bond that values the outdoors and the natural environment.
