Digging in the dirt to find the remains of ancient structures, artifacts, and burials is what archaeologists do to study ancient cultures. This session, presented by Joe Ballay will discuss Maya archaeology. This will include topics such as what has been discovered, the history of the Maya culture, and the work that has been done to uncover the temples, plazas, and other stone structures that have been found. In addition, Joe will share about his experience and involvement in some of his digs. Join us for this historical journey!
