~~me: I'm a 29 y/o multi-instrumentalist/producer living in Bed Stuy. I play keys, guitar, bass, sing, and slap drums from time to time. I've been working on a project I call kromacult. I've got about 10 songs written, for the most part (with ~20 more demos/song starters in the back pocket). I've spent the last few covid years formulating a sound and experimenting, and I'm ready to find some core collaborators who want to help realize a vision. some of my main influences are: Temples, Tame Impala, Mild High Club, Jungle, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, The Doors, Arctic Monkeys, Hers, Mac Demarco. if you want to check some of the demos I'm working on: kromacult on soundcloud. all are works in progress. mixes are not done, lots of parts need to be re-recorded for the final versions, including most of the vocals. I recorded/played/wrote all the parts: dystopian, dancy, sticky, harmonically rich, groove-oriented is what I'm goin for ~~you: a drummer, guitarist, bassist, or female vocalist with innate grove who wants to make cool tunes, have a generally cool time, hop on a record, practice a set, play out live, ya know- band shit. if you're a flake, please do not apply. looking for some properly committed individuals currently, there's an opportunity for any enterprising young musicians (possibly you!) to jump onboard and contribute your **~~talents~~** to the debut whose foundations are already mostly there. I'd love to start playing out as soon as possible, so after (or concurrently?) to the debut record being finalized, I'd love to start getting a set list under the belt. Ideally, future releases would be true collaborative efforts between all parties, not just myself. I have had some poor experiences with prospective craigslist "bandmates" in the recent past, so I would love to kind of just hang and vibe and make tunes until determinations on membership can be reached :) looking forward to hearing from you, talking inspirations, and seeing what happens. if you have any past work you can send along, that would be much appreciated as well.
