Influences stuff that I like, sounds cool or is interesting: CCR, Zeppelin, Stones, Nirvana, Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Lindsey Buckingham, Brainiac, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, John Lee Hooker, Bob Wills, King Crimson, The Buzzcocks, Les Paul, Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys, Deep Purple, Sy Oliver, Glenn Miller, Slim Harpo, Link Wray, Blind Boys of Mississippi, Big Black, Three Dog Night, Mose Allison, RL Burnside, Doris Ann Allen, Squeeze, Elvis, Dixie Dregs, Slade, Simon and Garfunkel, Badfinger, Ten Years After, Loony Tunes, The Birthday Party, Spike Jones, The Beach Boys, Raymond Scott, Hank Williams, Nelson Riddle, punk, new wave, folk, classical as well, tons of stuff. I'm not influenced by current bands or artists of the last 15 years because it's just not happening there for me lol. This band launch: originals, short form, straight to the point, fresh sounding chord patterns, riffs, arrangements that make sense, intros that actually relate to to the rest of the song, bridges that make whatever is on either side of the bridge sound good--the right parts in the right places. I don't want the end result to sound like poorly constructed and inadequately performed Indie Alternative junk. If I wanted to be in, or leading a crappy band I could have done that yesterday.
