Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization founded by twenty-two collegiate women on January 13, 1913, at Howard University, Washington, D.C. These students wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and to aid those in need. The sorority has clearly distinguished itself as a public service organization that boldly confronts the challenges of African Americans and hence all Americans. The Norfolk Alumnae Chapter is excited to host this event celebrating 110 years of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service and Social Action. This event is open to any member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Event DetailsWe will kick-off the Founders Day Celebration with a Welcome Reception on Friday, January 20th at The Main Hotel from 6:30 pm -9:00 pm. It will be an evening for embracing our Sorority through festive sisterhood, fabulous vibes, and your fashionable Delta paraphernalia. Vendors will be open from 3:00pm- 9:00pm on Friday, January 20, 2023 Our Celebration Luncheon and Tribute Program will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. Registration check-in will open from 8:00 a.m. until doors open at 11:30 a.m. The attire for the day is red, pants are acceptable. There will be no continental breakfast served. Vendors will be open from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. on Saturday,January 21, 2023. **We will adhere to CDC guidelines and recommendations from Delta National Headquarters.
