A celebration of Dr. Martin Luthor King Jr.’s legacy, his teachings of social justice, and service to the community. Featuring dynamic performances, hands-on activities, and opportunities to help others. There’s something for the whole family! Visitors are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to support a local food bank, women’s shelter, or church. Performances: MLK music and theatre showcase by Aurway Gospel singers Zawadi African Dance workshop Live DJ Activities: ‘I Have a Dream’ collaborative artwork Stained Glass window making Kindness jar And more! Food will be available for purchase. Planetarium Shows - Gourd 12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm, 2:30pm, 3pm, 3:30pm, 4pm, & 4:30pm For centuries, people relied on the wonders of the night sky to guide them safely. Join us as we explore how enslaved people used the Big Dipper and Polaris to find their way to freedom while traveling the Underground Railroad. Created by local arts collective SQAD NWK.
