Community Resource Day 2022 is partnering with Assurance Wireless and North Texas Food Bank to provide services and support for individuals and families who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. We will supply 400 families with boxes filled with shelf stable foods including fresh produce. Also, eligible attendees can apply for free cell service plus a smartphone through the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) if they participate in any of the following: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Medicaid Federal Public Housing Assistance Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA) Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit To establish eligibility qualified attendees must bring supporting documentation with them to the event. Also, social service agencies in Dallas will be available to answer questions and assist attendees in connecting to benefits and services. We also want you to come out to get energized and empowered as an impressive line up of keynote speakers share their stories in a moving way. This is a free family oriented event with fun activities, vendors, food trucks and a live DJ for entertainment.
