Come kick it with the Capoeira and Samba community at this fundraiser party celebrating unity. There will be music, delicious foods with vegan options, drinks, games, and of course Capoeira and Samba. You may join in on the Samba and Capoeira rodas or watch and enjoy the cultural experience. All ages welcomed. In alignment with the Quilombo mentality of the community supporting itself, we'll also be featuring businesses from within our communities throughout the event. Tapas Style Menu: - Blackberry and goat cheese sandwiches - Lentil and chickpea hummus - Stuffed potato pockets - vegetarian and meat options - Sliders with lentils and pickled cabbage - Meatball, cheese and blueberry skewers Your contributions will be going to towards funding the "Da Terra" January event, when we will be bringing world renowned Contra Mestre Gugu Quilombola, who will be training several local instructors, and teaching cultural drumming, afro dance, and Capoeira classes for the community.
