Any interest in VGM/anime/J-rock/math rock music in NOVA, DC area?

Anyone out there who knows if there's interest in VGM, anime, J-rock, etc... music in the mentioned area? I've been gigging around and while it's cool to perform typical Western band music, there's a nerdy side of me that loves these other music that there doesn't seem to be an audience for. The worst part is that I actually know enough talented musicians to gather a group to play these cool nerd culture music, but if there isn't an audience for it there isn't really an outlet for us to perform besides just playing for each other. We've got way too much love for these high energy music that shaped our childhood and are itching to share it with the people around us. I just have no idea if people actually wanna hear it, or maybe I'm just not looking in the right place? So if you have personal interest in seeing a band that plays VGM, anime, J-rock, etc.. or better yet, if you know of venues that are looking for or welcome that kind of music, please shoot me a message by clicking that reply button on the top left corner. Just trying my luck here but there's gotta be some sort of underground club for this somewhere nearby I don't know about, or so I hope :) I know there are big events like MAGfest that happens every January, but that's kinda the thing, they're BIG events that happen once a year. I'm looking for smaller venues that would want this kind of music more frequently. Not to mention that you'd have to already be established to a certain degree to even be able to perform at those big events.
