Will You Help a Veteran Family this year?
Due to requests and comments from the Legion and SAL, this year, the Auxiliary requested the
Marquette County Veterans Affairs Office locate three veteran families that could use assistance
this Christmas.
The Three Families:
Family A Mom and Dad (not sure which one is the veteran), ages 23 and 21
Daughter, age 1
Son, age 7
Family B Male Veteran, age 73 (he has custody of his grandson)
Grandson, age 12
Family C Female veteran, age 63 (she lives with her daughter & family - MCVA is helping
her get benefits so she can obtain independence)
Daughter and son-in-law, in their late 30’s
Granddaughter, age 17
Grandson, age 15
How You Can Help
All three families have very small and simple wish lists. All three families could use gift cards,
especially with the increasing prices of gas and food. You can help by:
Buying a gift card (recommended $25) for: Buying an item: (A, B, or C family)
Gas (Shell, Holiday, Krist, etc. gas stations) C - Crossword Puzzle books
Meijer C - Word Search books
Kohls C - Colorful hat/mittens (“Hippie”)
Snowbound Books C - Woman’s clothing size 1x
Walmart C - Teenage boy clothing size L-XL
Target C - Teenage girl clothing size S to M
Bath and Body A, B, C Socks – esp. for
sports
Ace Hardware A - Pampers diapers size 4
Lowes A - Pampers sensitive baby wipes
Menards A - Sensory toys for female age 1
Econo A - Baby Girl clothes size 18 months
Super One A - Boys pants size 10-12
Jim’s Jubilee A - Video Games
Larry’s Family Foods A - Men’s over-shirt size L
B - Men’s clothing size XL
B - Boys clothing size 14-16
B - Anything to do re outdoor sports
Bring your unwrapped gifts to the Post no later than December 18, 2022
