Poor Warren has been at the shelter waiting to be the one picked for a new home since June 3. It’s really hard being in a kennel watching your friends always getting picked over you. He is currently the longest resident at the Joplin Humane Society.
Warren is a friendly, happy dog. He loved the attention he got at open house and was so sad when it was time to return to his kennel. He laid down and did not want to go back in.
He absolutely LOVES toys and would like a home where there are lots and lots of toys to play with.
Warren is a 2 - 3 yr old male Lab mix He has a high energy level, so he will need plenty of daily exercise. He is loose and wiggly when greeting, and comes when called for snuggles and kisses. Warren walks well on a leash with no pulling. He is food motivated, and knows the commands sit and down. He mixes well in a kennel with other dogs and is indifferent towards cats in the shelter environment.
Warren has always gotten along with his kennel mates, but can get a little possessive (gurgly) over his toys in a home. He’s been so long without toys of his own. He doesn’t always like to share with his furry siblings.
Please take the time to come out and meet Warren. The shelter is a stressful place for an intelligent and loving dog like Warren.
If you can’t commit to a lifetime with Warren, maybe you could consider fostering? If you can’t, Foster you can become a volunteer at the Humane Society and take Warren out for long walks, and may be to get a pup cup or play with a toy.
Warren is sponsored so his adoption fee is only $25 to an approved home. He is neutered, micro chipped, and current on his vaccinations..
