HIRING Dog Trainer- Group Obedience Classes & ESA/Therapy Dog Foundation Training Established and rapidly growing privately owned dog training company is seeking experienced team members. This is a newly developed position with lots of room to grow! We have had a large increase in the demand for trained ESA's, Therapy Dogs, and Service Dogs. Correctly training dogs for these duties requires time and dedication. Ideal candidates would be available for a few hours 2-3 weekday evenings and on Saturday mornings to assist with teaching group obedience classes in and around our training facility in South Elgin. Ideal candidates would also have the ability to foster one ESA/Therapy Dog in training to continue training at home (supplies and tools provided). This position does require some amount of physical labor including, but not limited to: walking long distances, spending time outdoors in the elements as needed, cleaning up after dogs, and spending extended periods of time on your feet. Our trainers do have the opportunity to teach more difficult group classes and private lessons, lead organized pack walks, and service our board and train program clients as their own personal skill level allows. Our trainers work together as a team multiple days a week, but over all our schedules are very flexible and our services are available to the public by appointment only. Management handles marketing, customer service, and the majority of client contact so that our trainers can focus on the dog in front of them.
