Bassist, would like to play some music

I'm a Bassist! I play 4 string, I can't seem to get the hang of 5 string, I don't want to try to get the hang of 5 string. That said, I use 2 basses one tuned standard E-A-D-G and the other Drop-D, if I need lower than that I will simply go back up an octave and work that. I also would prefer to stay within standard tuning. I have software that can bring music up to standard tuning without any real weird sounds. Maybe I'm crazy, but when I hear bands trying to flat tune D# G# C# F# (I know I said flat tune can't find the flat symbol) Anyway, the instruments always sound out of phase? And it bugs me. A lot of traditional FM rock/metal from the late 1960s thru 2000. I dabble with the blues a little, HOWEVER not interested in an exclusive blues situation. Recently I was involved with a project where we we're doing things like "Here for the party, Paris (ooh la la), Some days you gotta dance, Something more, Just might make me believe, A journey medley trio, Wreck me, Spooky, Hit me with best shot, Jolene, Little white church, Me and Charlie talking, Spooky, Two tickets to paradise, Ex's and Oh's, Crazy on you, Pour Me, Downtown, Bartender, I feel lucky, Her Strut, Black Velvet" Anyway. Please don't get the impression I know a lot of Country! (I don't), however I learned those and will continue practicing to them on my own. On other sides of the music world I like "Led Zeppelin, Kansas, A little Rush (there are things I can't do from Geddy, I'm just not at that level, maybe one day), Pink Floyd (I'd really like to play "Hey You!"), I know a couple from Santana, a couple Eagles songs, Break-Up Song (Greg Kin), Anyway, I'm a little all over the map. So, ya never know. Anyway If I have to go there to Jam? I am Not really interested in having to drive too too far, so, think: Auburn, Chester, Londonderry, North Salem, Atkinson (North), Hampstead (North/West), Sandown, Maybe Raymond (it's just about close enough West side), Hudson (East Side is Best), Pelham (North/East side is Best), Hooksett (Off the By-Pass is best), Manchester (South/East), Windham (Most of) and of course anywhere in Derry! What I am trying to do? Join a band, start a band, maybe just jam from time to time playing select songs we could play at an open mic sometime and have fun! That's it "Have Fun" and maybe make money. I'd like to gig a little bit if possible! Oh and I do a great Kermit the frog! (No seriously, I do!) That said, you probably don't want to hear my singing unless really really necessary! I do a great "Canned Heat" and can sing "Brandy (You're a fine girl)". So you get the idea! That's a lot of reading Anyway Thanks for reading. Maybe something here peaks your interest/curiosity? Ken
