With a very heavy heart, I have a 5.5 year old dna sexed male white fronted Amazon looking for a new, loving home. He is pretty independent and would prefer to hang out by himself than to hang out with people, he doesn’t enjoy being pet. I had rescued him at about a year and a half old, he was very shy and aggressive towards people but we have worked through that, though he can still be pretty shy sometimes. He loves to be out of the cage and he loves his toys and treats. He used to say step up and his name (Poncho) but recently he hasn’t been talking. He’s pretty quiet, especially for an Amazon and really only yells when the other birds do or if I’m late feeding. He eats zupreem fruit blend, fresh chop everyday, and seed as a treat. He is 50/50 with other birds but I’d recommend him being an only bird because he will sometimes become aggressive towards the other bird and people if he’s out with another birds. I love him with my whole heart but he just doesn’t love my house. He doesn’t get as much time out of the cage because he’ll actively try to seek out my other birds and he deserves better. I’m in absolutely no rush to rehome him and I want him to go to the best, most suitable home for him so if I decide you aren’t right for him, please understand. He deserves nothing but the best!
