I don't usually have trouble finding a seat in my favorite coffee shops, but the students must be out in droves studying for finals in West Philly, because I had trouble yesterday.
But my reward was that I got to see this gorgeous woman: I stepped into Madis Coffee and it was full but I locked eyes with her (with you?) and you smiled at me from above your book -- maybe at my plight, maybe just as one kind human being to another. I wished I'd asked if I could pull up a seat and join you, but I didn't want to make you uncomfortable. Just smiling at a guy doesn't mean you want to get to know him.
Or did it? I am easy on the eyes and I have a kind face.......
I don't know if anyone actually reads Craigslist missed connections - but if this was you, I'd love to hear from you. If it wasn't and you have your own missed connection story - we can commiserate over that, too! I'm in my 30s and you were probably too, or late 20s... darker features and a red sweater...
