In recognition of American Heart Month and National Go Red for Women, Men & Youth Day, Community of Change presents the eighth-anniversary celebration of the annual Heartbeat Gala on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm. The annual Heartbeat Gala is an elegant event with proceeds benefiting local survivors/fighters of heart disease and supporting a heart-healthy campaign. Over the last seven years, we have donated and impacted the lives of college students by presenting scholarships, hosting local educational programs, spearheading awareness events, and providing assistance to survivors and patients in need of monetary resources. Due to the pandemic over the last two years, we have not been able to host the annual gathering to spread awareness in the Hampton Roads community for heart health prevention. We are elated to announce that we are finally back as Covid-19 has slowed down and we can safely commune again. Our theme for this year is: The Return of the Heartbeat Gala “King and Queen of Hearts” Sneaker Ball Edition 2023 This will be an elegant red dress, red suit, and black-tie affair with your favorite pair of fashionable sneakers. The gala will bring the community out at-large together along with heart disease survivors and advocates for a night of heart-healthy education, Heartbeat Honorees & Survivors recognition, college scholarship presentations, networking, live entertainment, and the Go Red Fashion Show. 5:00 PM - Red Carpet Affair & Cocktail Reception 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - King and Queen of Hearts Celebration 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Heart Healthy Dinner with a Purpose & Live Band Performance with Better by Tuesday
