An evolving music collaboration with the legendary Willie J Laws Band! Come out and enjoy this guest artist invitational and hear some truly phenomenal blues music. We are offering two show times - 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM and 8:15 PM to 9:30 PM. Tickets are $10 per person. Reservations for this event are being sold by the table. However, if the restaurant has to close and/or Willie cannot perform due to weather (snow, etc), we will issue refunds to ticket-holders. --------- December's Special Guest! --------- Cheryl Arena sizzles with excitement as she mesmerizes audiences with her sultry voice and powerhouse energy. She is a triple threat—a great songwriter and vocalist and blows harp like there’s no tomorrow. Hailing from Boston, she began playing harmonica and immersing herself in the Blues in 1987. Boston was an inspiring place to be as she was surrounded by so many talented harmonica and horn players. Her earliest childhood memories relating to music were listening and singing along with her mother’s Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday records. Her true passion though was in learning to play an instrument, but at age 8, her grandmother set her up with accordion lessons instead—not exactly what she had in mind! This start led to playing other instruments like guitar and bass guitar, and eventually finding the one instrument that truly resonated with her: the harmonica. ------- ABOUT WILLIE J LAWS BAND -------The Willie J Laws Band is one of the notable Blues acts with a modern funky style that’s uniquely its own. The band’s sound includes deep Texas roots music, add some funk, and jazz influenced bass patterns, and the influence of various Afro-Caribbean drum beats, a genre-bending sound tempered with a groove from Motown, Memphis, Muscle Shoals, the Gulf Cost of Texas, and New Orleans. This isn't strictly Blues, much of it is original music with it's own sound and tempo. You will enter the Willie J Laws Band musical train, cover a varied terrain with its assorted musical sounds.
