We are definitely "song based", unapologetically in the wake of the British invasion. If you like big guitars smothered in melody sprinkled with the occasional non-obnoxious shredding solo, then we might have a place in your heart. What we love: Classic Brit rock, eg Beatles, Who, Badfinger, Pink Floyd, and general late 60s psychedelia. Skip the MTV-80s (with a few exceptions, like XTC) and go straight to 90s, eg Guided by Voices, Pavement, Pixies, Throwing Muses. Also throw in Teenage Fanclub, Silversun Pickups, Built to Spill, Sloan. HERE'S YOU: You're a guitar geek. You love your gear and your stomp boxes. You can talk guitar minutia 'till the cows come home. You love making conventional song structures sonically luminous. You can shred. You can pull back and play simply and beautifully.
