Safe Spaces – A Student Panel on Mental Health and Education

This event will host a panel of Communities In Schools of San Antonio (CIS-SA) students and alumni on the importance of safe spaces inside and outside of school. The panel will consist of students from a mental health student organization in South San ISD and students of the CIS-SA program. There will be time for up to 6 questions related to mental health such as: “What does a safe space mean to you?” “Describe some current challenges to mental wellness that you’ve seen or experienced?” “If you had a magic wand, what is one thing you would do to create a safe space in schools? Out of school?” “What is one thing you want an adult to know about safe spaces and youth mental health?” “Who or what makes up your support system when experiencing mental health struggles?”
