Shakespeare in Detroit will present a live reading of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol on Friday, December 23rd inside the chapel at the Marygrove Conservancy for ALL ages! Enjoy complimentary cookies, champagne (if you are 21 or older) PLUS each guest will go home with a holiday gift from Shakespeare in Detroit for its sixth annual reading of the play. SiD is Detroit's premiere classical theatre organization and has celebrated the holidays with a reading of Dickens since 2017. If you are looking for a fun way to spend Christmas Eve Eve with your entire family, look no further. A few tips on getting to the event: The address is 8425 W. McNichols Road in Detroit (the former Marygrove College now Marygrove Conservancy). The reading will take place in the chapel on campus inside the Liberal Arts Building. You can go through the main entrance, facing McNichols to get into the chapel easily. Parking is totally free. And there will be someone at the chapel doors to greet you with a complimentary mini champagne (or prosecco bottle) plus cookies. Guests will receive their free holiday gift as they depart the event.
