Hey bass player guy or girl cruising CL looking for the right fit. We are looking for a bass player for our part-time rock band. The right person is just as important as your bass skills. We are a group of mid-lifers looking to rock up some bars now and then. We have been putting together a good mix of rock covers with our own twist and recently had to say goodbye to our bass player. It is a mix of known and not so worn out rock covers from the 70s - now. It is a pretty wide array of covers that we have in part made our own. Although sounding tight is important, and it is, we all have careers and families and this is just for fun. This is not an every weekend thing and we do not want it to be. We are the perfect landing spot for a bass player who wants to play catchy rocking songs with a group of cool guys, but still have a life outside the band. Also, if you are already in a band or two or three and looking to add another, then we are definitely not the band for you either. We want someone to be a team player who wants to build on what we already have. We have a singer, drummer and two guitarists with some backing vocals and practice 2x a month on weekends in Lombard. The goal is to play out about 5-6 times a year. We have about 25 songs ready to go and gigs lined up. We have a lot of fun, but you need to be able to make the scheduled rehearsals and show up knowing your part. If you can sing backup, that would be a great bonus but not neccessary.
