3 year old neutered male English Mastiff. Apricot in color. Big boy! We love him so much and will be picky on who adopts him. Must have vet references (I will call to verify) and if local we will do a home check. He is a great dog, but would be better suited for a home without small children. He gets anxious around loud play and doesn’t like to be hung on. He’s good with cats and most other dogs. He and our older German shepherd will argue over dropped table scraps but they don’t fight to the death or anything like that. Walks okay on a leash. He doesn’t get out much, we have a fenced backyard so no need for us to walk him on a leash. So he will need work on that. He’s afraid of everything, loud noises, strangers, baths, hair brush, nail clippers. However, is very protective, he doesn’t like when my daughter is upset, cries, screams (when playing) especially if someone he’s not used to is playing with her. He has growled at a couple of different people when he thought they were hurting her. I wouldn’t doubt for a second that he’d go after someone if they tried to hurt her. So if you’re looking protection he’s your boy. (Not saying I want him to guard your junk yard… he absolutely deserves a family) Rehoming due to having small kids.. one that will be crawling soon and I don’t want him getting bit if he tried to crawl around/on/near the dog.
